deeply understand your gen-z learners

Life Pods is a user research firm with specialty in understanding the motivations and habits of postsecondary learners and young professionals/alumni (roughly ages 15-28). Our clients are companies and colleges who care to optimize their learner experience.

“Life Pods is on to something. My team has been looking at ways to provide value and better engage young alumni immediately after graduation for the entirety of my 10 years working at Duke. This is the missing piece to set up Duke alumni for success.”
Willie Green, former Sr. Director of Campus Engagement at Duke Alumni Association

cohort learning: 6 mo. young alum engagement program to foster lifelong learning

We work with alumni offices to help recent college graduates transition into adulthood in a 6-month peer mentorship program. Peer mentors go through training vetted by Clinical Psychologist team at Duke Health, led by Dr. Scott Swartzwelder.

The 12-session curriculum is influenced by Stanford Design Program, Dr. Allison McWilliams @ Wake Forest, and overseen by our advisor Grace Shin, Ed.M @ Harvard.

Curriculum topics include:
Starting work/grad school on the right footGetting settled in a new cityBudgetingMental health and wellnessForging friendships and relationshipsFinding purposeBeing a lifelong learner
Our active school partners increase young alum affinity to the school, and see higher social engagement among the graduating class.
